Sharing a few of my favorite things with you today!
I have loved listening to Nancy Leigh Demoss’ daily podcasts through the Revive Our Hearts ministry. I am not sure why I just started listening to them lately! Each podcast is about 25 minutes long, but she packs it full of great Bible teaching.
I am looking forward to the day when I can attend one of the Revive Our Hearts True Woman conferences. Check out more information about their True Woman movement. I love the words of the True Woman manifesto. It is a proclamation of true Biblical womanhood. I have signed the manifesto and I am so grateful to have those words and scripture references to be able to look back over as a reminder and a challenge.
One of my friends has introduced me to Martha Peace. Martha is a Bible teacher out of the Atlanta area. She has written several books including one on my “to read” list: The Excellent Wife. You can find information about her books on her website and there are a few podcasts available on iTunes. Search for Martha Peace and you will find a conference she did at Family Baptist Church that is broken up into different segments.
If you have read the About Me page then you know that I LOVE the name of this blog! Lori’s husband, Bruce, is the pastor of Biltmore Baptist Church in Asheville, NC. They were at the church we attended when we lived in the Houston area several years ago. Her blog is full of encouragement to wives and mothers. I love hearing from women who have been married for several years and who are in different phases of life than I am. We can learn so much from the experiences of other women. This post on respecting and cherishing your husband was a great reminder and challenge to me.
On your recommendation, I started listening to Nancy DeMoss yesterday...couldn't stop at one podcast! I listened to 3 of them as I cooked dinner...thanks!
